    Approval Gate

An approval gate is the checkpoint in an agentic workflow where a proposed change is held until a human approves it — the mechanism that turns AI autonomy into supervised execution.

    Definition

Technically, an approval gate sits between an agent's decision and its execution call: the agent packages the proposed change (what, where, why, expected effect), the gate routes it to an approver, and only an explicit approval releases the API call to the ad platform. Gates can be scoped — by change type, spend impact, or account — so routine changes clear quickly while high-impact ones get scrutiny.

    Why it matters

Gates are what let a team delegate execution without delegating judgment. They also produce the artifact every stakeholder eventually asks for: a record showing that a specific person approved a specific change for a specific reason before a dollar moved.

    In agentic execution

In Adlyse, every agent-proposed change passes an approval gate before execution across Google, Meta, TikTok, or Microsoft Ads — and the gate's approve/reject history doubles as training signal for the account's compounding intelligence layer.
