    Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO)

DCO is the automated assembly of ads from component parts — headlines, images, videos, CTAs — with the platform's AI selecting the combination most likely to perform for each impression.

    Definition

Instead of shipping finished ads, you supply modular assets; the delivery system mixes and matches per user and placement, learning which combinations convert. It's built into modern platform products (responsive search ads, Advantage+ creative, PMax asset groups). The advertiser's control point moves to asset quality and variety — the system can only combine what you give it.

    Why it matters

DCO multiplies effective creative volume without multiplying production, which matters when top accounts run dozens of active variants. Its trap is mediocrity at scale: weak components produce endless combinations of weak ads. Component-level performance review — not just ad-level — is where DCO accounts find their edge.

    In agentic execution

Adlyse's agents manage the component pools DCO systems draw from — retiring weak assets, maintaining variety, executing changes across platforms with human approval.
