Server-side tracking sends conversion and event data to ad platforms from your server rather than from the user's browser — recovering signal lost to ad blockers, browser privacy features, and cookie restrictions.
Definition
Instead of a browser pixel firing to Meta or Google directly, events route through your own server (or a tagging server), which forwards them to platform endpoints. Benefits: resilience against client-side blocking, control over what's shared, and richer data (CRM fields, validated purchases) than a browser can see. Costs: engineering setup, ongoing maintenance, and responsibility for consent handling moves squarely onto you.
Why it matters
Platform AI is only as good as the conversion signal it learns from, and browser-side signal has been degrading for years. Accounts with solid server-side pipes feed their bidding models more complete data — which shows up directly as cheaper, more accurate optimization versus competitors running pixel-only.
In agentic execution
Signal quality is upstream of everything Adlyse's agents execute: better conversion data means better proposals. The agents work with whatever signal architecture the account runs — and the difference is visible in the results.
