Why Your Ad Dashboard Shows a Cliff Every Evening (and Why That's a Lie)

That performance chart nosediving on the last day? Your account is probably fine — your chart was lying. Date presets now end on yesterday, so every day on the chart is a complete day.

    TL;DR

Date presets across the dashboard and Explorer now end on yesterday instead of today, because ad platforms report today's numbers incomplete. That kills the misleading "performance fell off a cliff" zero-dip every evening — the cliff was an artifact, not a trend.

If you've ever opened your ad dashboard after dinner and felt your stomach drop at a performance chart that nosedives to almost nothing on the last day — good news. Your account is probably fine. Your chart was lying.

The cliff is an artifact, not a trend

Ad platforms report the current day's numbers incomplete. Conversions lag, spend trickles in, attribution catches up over hours. So any chart that includes "today" shows a partial day sitting next to a bunch of full ones, and a partial day always looks like a collapse. Every evening, every account, the same fake cliff — and every evening, someone panics, or worse, "fixes" a problem that doesn't exist.

    The fix: end on yesterday

We changed the date presets across the dashboard and Explorer to end on yesterday instead of today. Now every day on the chart is a complete day, and the trend line tells you what actually happened instead of what half-happened by 8pm. It's a small change, and it's exactly the kind of small change that decides whether you trust the numbers in front of you.
