    Bid Strategy

A bid strategy is the rule set that decides what a campaign pays per auction — from manual CPCs to AI-driven strategies like Target CPA and Target ROAS that set every bid algorithmically.

    Definition

Modern bid strategies are goal declarations: you pick what to optimize (conversions, value, visibility), set a target or let the system maximize within budget, and the platform's models handle per-auction pricing. The operational craft is choosing the right strategy for the campaign's data volume and goal, setting realistic targets, and knowing when a target change will help versus throw the model back into learning.

    Why it matters

Wrong strategy-to-goal fit quietly caps performance: value bidding without value data, tight CPA targets on thin conversion volume, or maximize-clicks on a conversion campaign. Bid strategy hygiene — reviewing fit as campaigns mature — is unglamorous and routinely skipped.

    In agentic execution

Adlyse's agents execute bid strategy changes and target adjustments as account conditions shift — proposed with reasoning, approved by a human, logged in the audit trail.
